We are located in the picturesque Keisie Valley 25km outside Montagu in the Western Cape and are South Africa's largest grower and packer of Cape Gooseberries (Physalis). Our farm specializes in the production of Cape Gooseberries and we also have a number of other farmers in the Keisie Valley and near Robertson in the famous Cape winelands that provide us with their hand-picked gooseberries.
We have a state-of-the-art pack store and cold room facilities that were built on the farm and brought into full production in February 2014 in order to process and pack all our gooseberries in modern facilities that meet all the most stringent food hygiene criteria.
We are unique in South Africa in that we ensure that picked gooseberries enter the cold chain within an hour or two of being picked from the bushes, thereby ensuring that our gooseberries have the longest possible shelf life to the benefit of the consumer.
We supply premium grade fresh gooseberries directly to South Africa's major retailers and we provide top quality frozen gooseberries to the food processing industry for use in yoghurts and jams. We also produce organically dried gooseberries for use in trail foods and energy bars.
